What Changed in 1975

Continued strong production at the Westerly factory. The D-40 remains Guild's bread-and-butter acoustic. Quality is consistent. These mid-1970s examples are excellent players with growing collector interest.

Collector's Notes

1970s D-40s are the best value in vintage Guild acoustics. Well-maintained examples are outstanding instruments. Bridge reglue and neck reset may be needed after 50 years — standard maintenance, not dealbreakers.
