Gibson Les Paul Price Guide

The Gibson Les Paul is one of the most iconic solid-body electric guitars ever produced. Co-designed with guitarist Les Paul, the model debuted in 1952 and went through significant changes in its first decade — from the gold-top originals to the flame-top 'Bursts' of 1958-1960, which are now among the most valuable guitars in the world.

📖 Buyer's Guide

When buying a vintage Les Paul, originality is everything. Check for replaced tuners, refrets, refin (refinished), and replaced pickups. A 'player grade' guitar with replaced parts can still be a great instrument, but expect a significant price reduction vs. an all-original example. The 1958-1960 'Burst' models are in a class of their own — verify authenticity with an expert before purchasing.
