Fender Jazzmaster Price Guide

The Fender Jazzmaster was introduced in 1958 as Fender's top-of-the-line guitar — above the Stratocaster in the lineup. Its offset body, floating tremolo, and separate rhythm/lead circuit made it unique among Fenders. Although initially marketed to jazz players, the Jazzmaster found its greatest following in surf rock and later in indie and alternative music.

📖 Buyer's Guide

Verify the floating tremolo and rhythm circuit are fully intact — these are commonly modified or non-functional. Anodized pickguard models (1958-1959) are the rarest. First-year examples (1958) are particularly valuable. Custom color examples with intact original finish command large premiums over sunburst.
